Lightweights

With a lean ripped physique, Ivette Landry showed where her body really excelled winning the Light Weight Division with a display of her well-posed back and quads. She was able to beat out her challengers much in part to her overall well rounded figure having the right lines in the right muscles. The second place spot went to Robin Baker whose more outlined core and sharp poses allow her to surpass Lindsie Chertow who also gave a solid showing of her tight cut form to take third in the class.

Middleweights

With only two competitors in this class, it was no surprise when Cindy Gillan was awarded first place, she was able to keep that same impressive stature which she had displayed in the Masters beating out Lynne Loisell. Loisell did not pull any punches as she also showed off her lean yet well developed waist and chest that gave her an impressive front lat spread.

Heavyweights

There is nothing more to say for this class except, “More Gold for Mould” as Sharon Mould once again proved why she is at the top of her game by continuously giving the crowd as well as the judges a fantastic display of female muscle. Tanariave McGowan received second for her immense frame. I have no doubts that when she gets her body dialed in and ripped that she will definitely make the judges decision even harder the next time she competes. Dawn-Marie Runnalls took the third spot on the pedestal with a powerfully built legs and arms.

Masters

If lightening could strike in the same place twice it still wouldn’t beat Sharon Mould, who for the third time took the Women’s Masters Division by storm. Her physique was still as phenomenal as it had been in the South Centrals enabled her to out shine her competition and grasp the pinnacle of the standings. The remaining top 5 were rounded out with Tanariave McGowan taking second with her massively muscled frame, Lucy Cerantola placed third with an amazingly crisp body but a smaller frame in comparison to her adversaries. Cindy Gillan and Ivette Landry earned fourth and fifth place respectively.

Overalls

As in her previous events Sharon Mould once again became your Overall Women’s Champion. This would be her third straight overall win having won the Stratford show and the South Central show and with this win, she asserted her dominance within the OPA Women’s Bodybuilding ranks and also gains a spot in the CBBF Nationals. As the battle-worn Champion of the 2009 OPA Championships she was quoted as say, “I will be taking the rest of the year off to recover and spend some well deserved time with family”. We can only wait and speculate on what the future holds for her.
