The OPA Mississauga Figure Championships featured new and upcoming competitors who begin their quest to become IFBB Figure pros.
Cara Kosie was the winner of the figure short class being in the best conditioned out of the three. The runner up was April Ridderikhoff and Miriam Goodger won third place.
A beautiful and smiling Angela Bernard looked great on stage as she took the first place trophy in figure medium. Her slim waist and lines along with the 2-piece green suit fit her overall look very well on stage. The runner-up was Rose Faubert who had a deeper skin color than Bernard that combined with her darker brown hair. At first glance, she had a slightly stronger look in contrast to Bernard with slightly larger shoulders but also a slightly thicker waist. This presented a slightly blockier look than Bernard's that may have played a difference. However, as these two go on to the next level, it will be interesting to see where these two will focus their training. Third place went to Sophie Haddad who had a good physique but needs more work in bringing out better definition in her physique to place higher.
Timea Csotonyi won the medium-tall class handily sporting a physique with excellent lines and shape throughout. Her slim and tight waist and strong-looking but sleek legs highlighted her excellent body. The runner up, Lara O'Connor, came in with more developed arms, legs and back. Even though she looked more athletic than Csotonyi, Csotonyi had an edge because of the slimmer waist that gave a better "X" shape. Tanya Evans rounded out the top three in the class with a great combination of skin color and suit, playing off the red tint of her skin with reddish suits, but will need to improve her posing so that she can show her nice, strong-looking back and waist better.
Jynelle Bourne placed third in the figure tall class, Vicky Higgins placed second and the winner was Monika Pocsaji. In this class, it pretty much came down to legs as Pocsaji had the best-conditioned and athletic looking legs out of the three, most notably in the back of the legs and glutes. Looking at the upper body, Pocsaji sealed the deal with good side delts and back that flowed to a slim waist.
